Team planner stores your team membership, event plans, attendance assignments, messages and in-app notifications. Team members can see the shared plans, member names and email addresses, assignments and conversations. Only the team owner can invite or remove colleagues and manage team attendance. Invitation links expire after seven days and require the invited email address to be verified. Team data is not published on public company pages or used in advertisements. Team notifications are delivered inside the site; email drafts are sent only by the user from their own email application.
Your account export includes your team memberships, assignments, messages and notifications. Deleting your account removes your team contributions and memberships; teams you own and their planning records are also deleted.
Ordinary members authenticate through Firebase Authentication using email/password or Google. Firebase handles passwords, email verification, password recovery and Google authentication; Oil & Gas Events does not receive or store passwords or Google access tokens. After successful verification, the site receives a Firebase identifier, email address and optional display name. Staff continue to authenticate separately through ChatGPT. These identities are namespaced and are not merged by email. Saved events, followed companies, view and filter preferences, time zone and consent choices are stored against the applicable account.
Event records contain public source information, evidence and revision history. With your permission, site analytics count actions such as event views and organiser-link clicks. If you accept optional analytics, feature banners use a first-party cookie, lasting up to 60 days, to keep one offer consistent on the same browser. We record the assigned offer, visible banner views and clicks. After registration, we link that offer to the account and record email confirmation and feature activation. This lets us compare which offers attract subscribers. Short-lived hashed request counters help prevent abuse and expire after two minutes.
With your permission, we use a random first-party visitor identifier for up to 60 days and a session identifier that expires after 30 minutes of inactivity. These support social-link attribution, event saves, account registrations, advertising links and referrals to official event websites. Account registrations mean Oil & Gas Events accounts, not event ticket sales. Signed-in actions can be linked to your account; these records are pseudonymous, not anonymous. We do not use browser fingerprinting or cross-device matching. Raw action records are excluded from reports after 180 days and removed during the next Performance report refresh. Expired session records are also removed then.
Reports exclude recognised crawlers, staff and test traffic where detected. They cover consenting visitors only. The system does not store IP addresses, full referring URLs or form content in action records. On the public canonical site, Google Analytics receives device and browser information, canonical page paths without query strings or fragments, generic page categories, and approved event or campaign identifiers. It does not receive account identifiers, names, email addresses or form contents. Account, sign-in, administration, operations, alert-preference and other private pages are excluded. Its tag remains blocked until analytics consent is given.
Weekly briefings, personalised event alerts, reminders, presentation alerts and event-change alerts each have separate controls. Consent is recorded with its wording and time. Venture marketing has a separate optional choice and is unavailable until the operating entity is identified. It is never a condition of using an account.
Account holders can export their records and request deletion from the account page. Unsubscribe links do not require sign-in. Deletion removes the active profile, saved events, watchlist and local member sessions. It does not itself delete the separately managed Firebase identity. Minimal consent, suppression and audit records may be retained to honour withdrawals and prevent deleted accounts from receiving messages after recovery.
The site uses Sites hosting, a persistent database and private evidence storage. Firebase Authentication is the planned ordinary-member identity provider. The planned production services also cover email, social publication, source discovery, verification, scheduling and a separate recovery journal. Email delivery uses Resend when connected. Scheduled processing uses QStash when connected. The account page shows whether email sending is available.
Essential, HTTP-only cookies support sign-in, protected sessions, security and your privacy choice. Member sessions expire after one hour. Firebase browser credentials use memory-only persistence and are cleared after the Oil & Gas Events session is established. The privacy-choice cookie lasts up to 180 days. If cookie storage is unavailable, an expiring preference in browser storage remembers the choice for up to 180 days. Optional analytics remains off unless its consent cookie is available. If the browser blocks all storage, the choice applies to the current page. Optional analytics is off until you accept it. Rejecting analytics does not prevent browsing, saving events or following companies. Use Privacy settings in the footer to change your choice. Withdrawal stops future optional measurement and expires the feature-assignment, visitor and analytics-session cookies.
Google advertising is not used on this site. Optional Google Analytics measurement remains separate and requires your consent. Google signals and advertising personalisation in analytics remain disabled.
Eligible event pages embed a Stay22 accommodation map using the public venue, event dates and an event campaign identifier. Stay22 and its map and accommodation providers receive browser and network information when the map loads and can use cookies or similar storage under their privacy policies. Booking takes place with an external provider. Oil & Gas Events does not receive your payment details. We may earn commission on qualifying bookings. You can review and export account data in My account. Correct your preferences there. For other corrections, privacy questions or complaints, use the operator contact details when available. We will assess requests and respond through the contact details you provide.
Hosting, identity and connected delivery providers process information to supply their services. Processing may occur outside Australia. Event discovery can use AI to analyse public event sources. Optional email delivery remains unavailable until the required services are connected. Account information is retained while your account is active; deletion and limited retained records are described above.
